My jubilee - 25 years in martial-arts
| | | | On the occasion of a big meeting of different Grand Masters and masters from the martial-arts area in Winterswijk/NL, we celebrated on the 04th April 08 afterwards in the small frame my 25-year-martial-arts jubilee. In 1983 I began in the police sport association Gelsenkirchen with Tae Kwon Do-Training. After some months I changed to fight sport community-Gelsenkirchen and trained there long under Horst Bürger. Besides, I also got to know my today's self-defence teacher Hanshi Hermann Harms. Then in 1993 I changed to the Budo-sports association Gelsenkirchen and began with the kick boxing under the successful trainer of the WAKO, Norbert Burkowski. Then after some active years in the competition, I laid in 1998 successfully the examination to 1. Dan of the WAKO. A year later I finished as successfully the trainer's licence examination of the WAKO. My active competition career slowly bent to the end. In 2000 I won with the North Rhine-Westphalia team of the WKF the millennium World cup. Also here my today's teacher Grand Master Hermann Harms promoted and supported me decisively. After this success I withdrew provisionally from the active competition. I worked some time in different associations and schools as a trainer for competition and self-defence. Then in 2001 I decided under jiujitsu-Hanshi Hermann Harms to learn the classical as well as modern art of the self-defence and began with the Goshin-Jutsu. Still today Mr. Harms inspires me over and over again with his untiring application for the whole martial-art area. By him I got to know really worldwide-significant people in the martial-art. He was also to be cosmopolitan me in addition encouraged ones and to attach abroad contacts so also internationally around our art. Meanwhile I maintain thanks to Hanshi Harms numerous international contacts. Under other in the USA, Thailand, England and in East Europe. I experienced personal and intensive training unities in the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. I am especially proud on the more than amicable relations with the Ukrainian and Russian Budo scene. With my regular stays in the Ukraine I have to exchange the possibility me with my martial-art friends and to collect over and over again new experiences. Herewith I would like to thank my friends for the support and support on my Budo way. My special thanks counts: Grand Master Hermann Harms, Sensei Jürgen Ernst, Sabum NimNorbert Burkowski, Horst GM Bürger, Soke Oleg Shepruth, Shihan Boris Sushinski, Soke Kahil Salam. Many thanks....... Jörg Wiesmann |
